Gabriel developed his love for nature and mountains since he was very young. He still remembers with great emotion the wonderful camping trips with his parents in the area where he was born. Soon after, he prepared himself for his first own adventures. He was inspired by the history of the Inca culture. The stories about the rituals of the Incas on the highest peaks of the Andes Mountains sparked his interest in the high mountains of his homeland. This quickly became a passion that drove him to pursue his dream to get a degree in this area.
Today he is a member of a mountain rescue team and a special firefighting unit in his hometown at the Elqui Valley in northern Chile. His university degree in adventure tourism provided him with the knowledge that makes of him an extremely complete expedition leader today. However, Gabriel's most outstanding characteristic is his contagious happiness. His extremely friendly nature and his kind smile make his expedition mates have a lot of fun. So safety and good humor are guaranteed on a trip to the mountains with him.
