The SPONDYLUS team feels very glad for the excellent result of a unique trip which combined the wild and barren solitude of Patagonia, with the boundless vastness of the Bolivian highlands. The natural and cultural contrasts between these two regions couldn´t be bigger.
Hans with Klaus Russ, an old friend and frequent client of SPONDYLUS, had the chance to explore these totally different sceneries in a new pioneering trip. Astrid Russ, Klaus’s wife, joined this trip too.
In several expeditions in different years, Hans and Klaus have climbed together very well known mountains in South America, such as Mount Ojos del Salado (6.893m / 22.614ft), Mount Llullaillaco (6.739m / 22.109ft), Mount Pissis (6.792m / 22.238ft), and the Ollagüe Volcano (5870m / 19258ft), amongst others.
In this occasion, Astrid also joined them in beautiful hikes, as well as for climbing mountains and glaciers, setting up their camps in untouched and virgin places, located under the most wonderful starry sky in the world.
After having this wonderful experience, SPONDYLUS is able to offer its friends & clients, this absolutely new and exclusive trekking program, in the heart of Patagonia around Lake General Carrera, and in the Lipez Mountain Range located in the magnificent Bolivian high plateau.
